Golden Globes watchers got the shock of their lives last night when Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta aka Lady Gaga won Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series for her role as by The Countess in “American Horror Story: Hotel.”
Gaga beat out veteran actresses Kisten Dunst, Felicity Huffman and Queen Latifah to win the coveted prize.
While the pop queen turned jazz singer has some acting credits to her name for music videos, a cameo on “The Simpsons” and a part in the 2014 box office fail “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” “American Horror Story” was Gaga’s first TV role.
The “Bad Romance” singer definitely earned her prize. Gaga was hard yet hauntingly alluring as the ever fashionable vampire who ruled over the murder den Hotel Cortez.
With any luck, we’ll see her again in another season of “American Horror Story.”
